The New Orleans Saints got a 40-yard field goal in overtime on Sunday from Garrett Harley to send them to Miami for a chance an NFL Championship in Super Bowl XLIV.

It was just a few short years ago that the city of New Orleans was bruised and battered by Hurricane Katrina, leaving the city torn and tattered and Saints without a home.

However, after Sunday night's 31-28 win over the Minnesota Vikings, Bourbon Street rockin' to one of the biggest parties in the history of the Big Easy.

"This is for everybody in this city," said coach Sean Payton. "This stadium used to have holes in it and used to be wet. It's not wet anymore. This is for the city of New Orleans."

The Saints played a great game, but it was a late Brett Favre interception that put them in position to win it in overtime.

Favre threw away Minnesota's best chance to win, tossing an interception deep in New Orleans territory in the closing seconds of regulation. Then the Saints won the coin toss and ended it on Hartley's kick 4:45 into overtime.

Forget the paper bag masks and that long history of the New Orleans "Aints."

The Saints will meet Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts in the Super Bowl in two weeks in Miami. The Colts opened as 4 point favorites.
