This Sunday in New Orleans, a trip to Super Bowl XLIV will be on the line as two of the NFL's best passers face-off when Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings head to the Superdome to take on Drew Brees and the Saints.

Brees helped the Saints score the most points in the NFL before leading his team to a convincing 31-point win last weekend against the Arizona Cardinals in the Divisional Round.

Favre and the Vikings produced the league's second-highest point total before he guided his team to its own 31-point postseason victory last week agianst the Dallas Cowboys.

The odds makers in Vegas have the total in this game sitting at 53 in what should prove to be an offensive explosion. The Saints are a home favorite as the line is at, New Orleans -4. However, it could very well end up being won by the quarterback that touches the ball last.

Brees threw for three touchdowns and 247 yards last Saturday in a 45-14 win over Arizona, while Favre tossed four touchdowns and 234 yards in the Vikings victory over the Cowboys.

With that win, Favre became the first 40-year-old quarterback in NFL history to win a playoff game.

In this one on Sunday, in light of both quarterbacks being so hot and seemingly able to spread the ball all over the field at will, the x-factor may just be in the run game.

Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has proven he is as dynamic as they come, while Reggie Bush of the Saints is coming off one of the finest games of his career.

Bush averaged more than 16 yards per carry and scored twice. Once on a 46 yard dash in the first quarter and then again on an 83 yard punt return in the third.

If either one or both of these guys get going, the defenses better watch out, it could get ugly.

One thing is for sure, it's going to be a fun game to watch.
