Kurt Warner
Kurt Warner
The old master Kurt Warner and his Arizona Cardinals offense looked unstoppable Sunday against the Green Bay Packers only problem was, their defense couldn't stop Packers either. The Cardinals and the Packers played to a 51-45 Arizona win in over-time.

The teams combined for 1,024 yards. Arizona had 531, including 156 rushing, against a Packers defense ranked No. 2 overall, No. 1 against the run. The 13 touchdowns was an NFL playoff record.

The combined 96 points scored was the most in the history of the NFL Playoffs. Incredibly, Warner had more touchdown passes than incompletions. The Cards' signal caller was 29-of-33 for 379 yards and five touchdowns.

With numbers like that, it is hard to believe the rumors circulating that this could be Warner's final season. Warner didn't
play like a guy facing the end of his career on Sunday.

"I don't think you ever want to stay too long, but you never want to go out before it's time," he said after beating the Packers. "The hard part is trying to figure that out, but right now it's about another playoff game. It's about New Orleans and then we'll go from there."

Warner led the Cardinals to the Super Bowl last season where they lost to the Steelers.

Over the course of his 12 NFL seasons, he has been voted to five Pro Bowls, won two NFL MVP awards and one Super Bowl MVP. He also is the only quarterback in NFL history to throw more than 100 touchdown passes for two NFL franchises.

It would seem like Warner has nothing left to do in this league. He is a sure-fire Hall-of-Famer, but a Super Bowl Championship in Arizona would be an incredible finish to a storied career.
