Dallas Cowboys Saturday in Dallas, Tony Romo and the Cowboys look to take care of Donovan McNabb and the Philadelphia Eagles for the third time this season and win their first playoff game in over a decade.
The last time the Cowboys had any success in the post-season was a was a 40-15 win against the Minnesota Vikings following the 1996 season. Tony Romo was 16 years old. Regardless, Romo and the boys are dealing with those demons.
NFL odds makers are calling the Cowboys the favorite even without any recent playoff success. The spread in Vegas is sitting at a little more than an field goal. The line is at, Dallas -4 with the total in the game set at 45.5.
Based on their recent post-season histories, the Eagles would appear to have the advantage over the Cowboys, however judging by last week's matchup
Last Sunday, the Cowboys beat the Eagles in convincing fashion 24-0, but don't expect Philadelphia to play as flat as they did a week ago. The playoffs are a whole different ballgame and the Eagles know how to play in the post-season.
The Eagles believe they will have a better showing than last weekend.
"I'm excited. After what they did to us, I can't wait to come back here," tight end Brent Celek said. "After getting whooped like that, we want to prove we weren't the team that showed up here. They kind of put us in our place. They woke us up."
Look for the Eagles to do just that. Wake-up and play well. I refuse to put my money on the Cowboys until I see them win when it really counts.
Take Philadelphia getting the points. Dallas will find a way to lose.
