Sunday in Land Shark Stadium, the Miami Dolphins get set to host the Pittsbugh Steelers in a big AFC conference match-up with both team's last chance for a wild-card spot on the line. Although both teams need help, a win in this game is the only way they can advance.

The Steelers and the Dolphins are both mired in inconsistent seasons. Pittsburgh, lost five straight in November and December before pulling out wins in their last two games to claw themselves back into the race.

NFL odds makers are calling the Steelers about a field goal favorite in this one against the Dolphins. The spread in Vegas is at, Pittsburgh -3 with the total in the contest set at 45.

Even with those wins, their five-game skid may prove to be too much to overcome.

Unless two of three teams among Baltimore, Houston and the Jets lose with Pittsburgh beating Miami, they will be spending the playoffs the same way it did after Super Bowl wins in 1980 and 2006, on the golf course.

"This is our bed. We're going to lay in it," coach Mike Tomlin said. "We're not going to cry over spilled milk. If there's any level of disappointment in terms of how this thing unfolds, it's going to be on us."

To make the postseason, Miami must win and have Jacksonville, Baltimore, Houston and the Jets lose. All except the Jaguars are heavily favored.
