Tuesday evening in RFK Stadium, the UCLA Bruins and head coach Rick Neuheisel get set to take on Temple in the Owls' first bowl appearance in 30 years.

UCLA passed over Temple coach Al Golden in favor of Neuheisel when it picked a coach two years ago. Though a superb season with Temple has improved his credentials, Golden insists he's not leaving anytime soon.

NCAA odds makers are liking the Bruins in this one as the spread is at a little more than a field goal. The line is sitting at, UCLA -4 with the total in the contest set at 45.

Temple is 9-3 after going 5-7 last season giving them just their fourth winning season in the past 30 years. Due to Temple's turnaround, Golden has been widely thought of as one of the nation's top targets for teams
looking for new coaches. Golden insists he doesn't have any interviews lined up.

As impressive as they Owls' season has been, they did have nine-game winning streak snapped in their last game, losing 35-17 to Ohio, keeping Temple out of the conference championship game.

UCLA has had an inconsistent season with two three-game winning streaks sandwiched around a five-game skid before losing their last game 28-7 to Southern California.

On paper, the Bruins should be able to handle the Owls, however, coach Neuheisel isn't taking Temple lightly.

"We are excited to have the opportunity to play in the EagleBank Bowl," Neuheisel said. "We have a lot of respect for what coach Golden has accomplished at Temple and we are looking forward to a great game."

Take the Bruins and give the points.
