Sunday afternoon in Foxboro, the New England Patriots look to clinch the AFC East title and complete a perfect home slate when they host a Jacksonville Jaguars team in desperate need of a win to keep their fading playoff hopes alive.

New England is sitting at 9-5 and hold a two game lead over the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets with two games to play. The Jags are at 7-7, tied with the Dolphins, Jets, Steelers and Texans. They are all on the outside looking in at the 8-6 Ravens and Broncos for the two AFC wild-card spots.

NFL odds makers are calling the Pats heavy favorites in this one. The line in Vegas is sitting at, New England -9 with the total in the contest set at 44.

The Patriots are in a position to do what they need to do and get in.

"It doesn't matter what everybody else does," said coach Bill Belichick, whose club is one of three home unbeatens in the NFL along with Indianapolis and Minnesota. "If we win on Sunday, then we've achieved one of our goals this year."

The last time these two teams met Tom Brady was spectacular. Brady threw for three touchdowns while completing 26 of his 28 pass attempts in the divisional round of the 2007 playoffs. However, this season's Patriots offense doesn't look much like that squad.

The Jaguars are playing for their playoff lives right now and it may be taking it's toll on the team. Jacksonville has lost three of their last four and may be fading fast. However, they will surely not lay down for the Patriots.

They may not win but they will cover. Take the Jags getting the 9 points on the road. They will keep it close.
