New Yorks Jets
New Yorks Jets
Sunday afternoon in the Meadowlands, the New York Jets host the Atlanta Falcons with both teams' playoff hopes on the line. The 7-6 Jets almost certainly need to win-out to have any chance for a playoff berth. The are currently tied with Miami and the Baltimore Ravens for the last AFC wild card spot, but loss the tiebreaker against both teams.

The 6-7 Falcons also need to win their three remaining games and they need some help to get in. Atlanta nearly upset unbeaten New Orleans before losing 26-23, but the Falcons have lost six of their last eight.

NFL odds makers are calling the a home favorite as the line in Vegas is sitting at, New York -7 with the total in the game set at 36.

After sitting out one game with a knee injury, Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez will be back in the line-up on Sunday. He has a 53.6 passer rating in his last four games. For the season, Sanchez
has completed 53.2 percent of his passes for 2,049 yards with 11 touchdowns and 17 interceptions.

His inconsistent play is part of the reason why the Jets are relying on a running game that tops the NFL with 169.1 yards per game, and a defense that is ranked first in the league at 264.7 yards allowed per contest.

The Falcons' quarterback situation is clouded, with Matt Ryan's availability uncertain after he missed the last two games with a toe injury. Chris Redman has filled in, throwing for 781 yards with four touchdowns and three interceptions in three games.

This game is going to depend on who can make the fewest mistakes. The weather forecast is calling for a possibility of snow and wind. Defense and the ground game will be key.

I like the Jets to win the game, however I not sure about them covering the 7 points. The safer bet will be to go with the under.

Take the under 36 points in the Jets - Falcons game.
