Mike Holmgren Meets With Cleveland Browns Again

Mike Holmgren Former Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers coach Mike Holmgren wants back in to the NFL and the Cleveland Browns are looking for anyone and anything to get the organization out of the cellar.
Holmgren spent Monday afternoon and evening in Cleveland meeting with the team to discuss joining the Browns as their director of football operations.
Holmgren is considered one of the best football minds out there. As a coach, he won one Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers and took the Seattle Seahawks to another.
In Green Bay, Holmgren was head coach, while in Seattle he initially held the job as coach and general manager, but the team asked him to give up the GM duties. Presumably, in Cleveland Holmgren's job would be
It has been speculated that after Cleveland's win over the defending Super Bowl Champion Steelers last Thursday night, however Browns owner Randy Lerner may not force his will on the new football leader. The team's owner would, of course, have input into the coach, but he will not force a decision on someone he hires to run his football operations.
For the Browns, landing someone like Holmgren would surely bring some legitimacy to a franchise that has been a joke for quiet some time, this move is not a sure thing.
There have been rumors swirling about his possible return to Seattle in a similar role.
Talks between the two parties are expected to continue this week.
