Sunday afternoon in Foxboro, the 7-5 New England Patriots look to get back on track after losing three out of their last four including two straight, causing their AFC East lead to shrink to just one game over the Jets and Dolphins.

The visiting Carolina Panthers may be just what the doctor ordered as, at 5-7, they are going through myriad of issues of their own and will be without starting quarterback Jake Delhomme for the second straight game.

NFL odds makers are calling the Pats heavy home favorites in this one. The Vegas line is sitting at about two touchdowns. The betting line is set at, New England -13 with the total in the game at 44.

New England's losses to New Orleans and Miami the last two weeks marked only the second time they dropped consecutive games since 2002.

After the latest loss, quarterback Tom Brady finds himself questioning his team's commitment.

"It's not about playing hard on Sundays. I mean, we do that," said Brady "I think what coach tells us and what I was alluding to was probably more of just the other six days of the week. I think at times we all feel a little bit sorry for ourselves."

The Panthers are realistically out of playoff contention and with Matt Moore starting for Delhomme, I think this team has packed it in for the season. They may have won last week against the Buccaneers but they won't be so lucky against the Patriots.

I look for the Pats to pull it together put a hurting on the Panthers.

Take New England and give the points at home.
