The New York Giants will host their bitter division rival Dallas Cowboys on Sunday at Giants Stadium in the Meadowlands. New York's once promising season will be on the line against the Cowboys as a loss would almost sink its post-season hopes.
The Giants started the season 5-0, but since their first loss on October 18th in New Orleans, they have really tanked. New York has lost five of six, including an embarrassing 26-6 loss on Thanksgiving Night to the Denver Broncos.
NFL odds makers don't have much confidence in the G-Men, even at home, as the the Cowboys are listed as slight favorites. New York opened as a 1.5 favorite, however as we have gotten closer to game-time, the line has moved. The spread in Vegas is sitting at, Dallas -1 with the total in the contest set at 45.5.
Dallas ran its record to 8-3 on Thanksgiving Day with a 24-7 victory over the Oakland Raiders.
These two teams are truly teams moving in different directions. The Cowboys decisive win against Oakland was the sixth in Dallas' last seven games. They maintained their one game lead over the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East.
The Cowboys would love nothing more than to get a little revenge on the Giants for the 31-33 week two loss they took at Cowboys Stadium and all but knock the Giants out of playoff contention.
New York doesn't resemble that team at this point, and don't look for that to change on Sunday.
Take the Cowboys and give the points.
