With the 7-4 Denver Broncos right in the middle of the AFC playoff picture, quarterback Kyle Orton wants his team to be playing their best football from here on out.

Sunday in Arrowhead Stadium, the Kansas City Chiefs might want to have something to say about that. The Broncos hope to fix some mental errors and get their offense back in sync when they visit Kansas City for the first time this season.

NFL odds makers like their chances as they are calling the Broncos strong road favorites against their AFC West Divisional rivals. The spread in Vegas is sitting at, Denver -6.5 with the total in the game set at 39.5.

The Broncos opened the season with six consecutive wins, but four straight losses dropped the Broncos one game back
of the San Diego Chargers for the division lead.

Last week against the New York Giants on Thanksgiving night, Denver finally returned to the physical style of play it displayed earlier this season in a 26-6 win. The defense stepped up against New York, forcing three fumbles and holding Eli Manning and the Giants offense to just 267 yards.

The Chiefs have been the model of inconsistency this season and the 3-8 record shows it. After a stunning win against the Pittsburgh Steelers on November 22nd, they looked like a different team in San Diego last week.

Look for the Broncos to do what they need to do against the Chiefs to win and keep pace with the Chargers. Kansas City will stay in it early but the Broncos defense will be the difference late.

Take Denver and give the points.
