Texas Longhorns
Saturday night in Arlington, a chance at the BCS Title game is on the line for the Texas Longhorns as they get set to do battle with the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Big 12 Championship game.

At 12-0 overall and 8-0 in the conference, the 3rd ranked Longhorns have one more hurtle to get over in their quest for a National Title shot. With No. 1 Florida and No. 2 Alabama facing off for the SEC Championship, the Longhorns will play the winner if they can get past Nebraska.

NCAA odds makers are calling Texas heavy favorites as many feel this game is just a technicality for the Longhorns. The spread is sitting at about two touchdowns with the Vegas line at, Texas -14. The total in the contest is set at 46.5.

Texas' players and coaches insist their collective focus will be on the Cornhuskers
and not the match-up with the SEC Champion that's seemingly looming a little further down the road.

The last time that the Longhorns played for the Big 12, the pounded the Colorado Buffaloes behind the play of quarterback Vince Young. Now Colt McCoy leads the charge against Nebraska.

McCoy has thrown for over 3,300 yards and 27 touchdowns so far in 2009, he has made a serious push for winning the Heisman Trophy after ending up as the runner-up a year ago.

As good as McCoy and the Longhorns has been, they better stay focused at the task at hand and not overlook the Cornhuskers. Nebraska ranks 11th in total offense, giving up just 334.7 yards per game and has won five in a row heading into this contest.

Expect the Longhorns to do what they need to to against Nebraska. McCoy will have a big night.

Take Texas and give the points.
