Saturday in Norman, the Oklahoma Sooners will host the Oklahoma State Cowboys in a Bedlam rivalry game that always seems to have one team looking at BCS Bowl possibilities and the other trying to spoil them.

Only difference this season is that the rolls are reversed as their has been a lot of talk about the Cowboys and the Fiesta Bowl while the Sooners hope to knock them out of contention.

NCAA odds makers like Oklahoma State's chances as they are listed as more than a touchdown road favorite in this one. The spread in Vegas is sitting at, the Cowboys -8.5 with the total set at 49.

After years of trying to dethrone the mighty Sooners, it's the 11th-ranked Cowboys that will be playing for a potential berth in the lucrative Bowl Championship Series game when these rivals meet
in Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. If everything fall into place, State could receive an at-large bid for its first BCS appearance.

At 6-5, the Sooners have matched their highest loss total since Bob Stoops took over as coach in 1999.

"Of the 11 years that we've been here, eight or nine of them we've been still in a position working toward a Big 12 championship and still having that opportunity coming into this week, so this is different," Stoops said. "But we still are in a position where we're trying to improve our situation. That's what our focus will be."

The 9-2 Cowboys have had a very good season, but they could cruise to a 10 win Big 12 schedule, only beating one ranked team and that was Georgia in week one.

Take the Sooners getting the points at home. I just don't think that the Cowboys are as good as everyone thinks they are.
