St Louis Rams After a long hold out because of a contract dispute, Rams running back Steven Jackson should expect to see a lot of action in week one. Coach Scott Linehan says Jackson is ready to go after only two weeks of practice.
"He's gotten in two weeks of real solid conditioning along with the reps. We're going to play him like we always do. He looks like his same old self to me. He's ready to go," Linehan said Wednesday to reporters.
In the weeks after finally signing a six-year, $44 million contract, ending his hold-out, Jackson has worked extra hard. Coach Linehan called it a "semi-boot camp" and
Pace said he hasn't felt this healthy in about a year. He missed almost all of the 2007 season after suffering a season-ending shoulder injury in last year's opener. Pace also missed the Rams final two preseason games with a bicep strain, however he has taken all the snaps in practice this week.
"Everything is good and ready to go," Pace said on Wednesday. "I just can't wait to get back out there. It's been a long trek back."
