NFL Football Picks Thursday night while America finishes their turkey and stuffing, the Denver Broncos get set to host the New York Giants in a game in which both teams need to win to keep pace with the rest of the conference leaders for a playoff spot.
Both of these teams seemed to have grip on their respective conferences after the first few weeks of the season after the Broncos started 6-0 and the Giants began their season with a five game win streak.
Now both sit 6-4 as the Broncos have lost four in a row and the Giants have lost four of their last five.
NFL odds makers are calling New York a road favorite with the Vegas spread sitting at, the Giants -5 with the total in the game set at 43.
Giants coach Tom Coughlin understands what Denver is dealing with but doesn't have any advice for rookie coach McDaniels and the
"There are some thoughts that we had that we utilized last week," Coughlin said. "I had rather not share. Denver media would like to know, I think, which I don't know whether there is any magic; there is no magical answer. You have to play your way out of whatever issues you have and it has to be settled on the field. A lot of it is, as I said, your approach."
Denver may not be getting a insight from the Giants, but they did get good news about their starting quarterback. Kyle Orton has practiced fully in preparation for this game and will play after missing last week with an ankle injury.
This is a very interesting game to get a bead on. On both sides, no one really knows what teams will really show-up. We do know that through their lossing streaks, the defenses have not played well. I like a lot of points to be scored.
Take the over 43 points.
