Vince Young Vince Young remained undefeated as a starter for the Tennessee Titans this season thanks to the right foot of Rob Bironas and some clutch kicking.
It was not too long along that most wondered if Vince Young would ever be a starter in the NFL again, let alone have the success he has had since the Titans 0-6 start.
Bironas kicked a 53-yard field goal with less than a minute left and the Titans beat the Texans 20-17 Monday night for their fourth straight victory with Young as the starter after starting the season with six losses in a row.
Young is now 2-0 as a starter in his hometown of Houston. In his last start in Reliant Stadium, as a rookie in 2006, Young ran for the winning touchdown in overtime. He said he simply sees that the team is having more fun
"It's not about me," Young said after last night's win."It's not about Vince Young."
One of the biggest reasons for the Titans resurgence has been the running of tailback Chris Johnson. Including last night, Johnson has rushed for 646 yards and 6 touchdowns in the Titans last four games. Against the Texans, Johnson finished with 151 yards on the ground, including 32 yards on 3 carries on the drive that got Bironas in position to boot the game winner.
Right now, the Titans definitely look like a payoff team, however they just might have to win out to get their. It's not going to get an easier down the stretch as Tennessee get set to host the Arizona Cardinals and then head to Indianapolis to face-off against Peyton Manning and the Colts.
