Miami Dolphins Thursday night in prime-time, the 4-5 Carolina Panthers host the 4-5 Miami Dolphins at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. With both of these teams needing a win to get to the .500 mark on the year, this should be a great game to watch.
Unfortunately, if you don't get the NFL Network, you only be seeing highlights as the Dolphins try to cope in their first game since they place running back Ronnie Brown on IR, ending his season.
NFL odds makers see the Panthers as slight home favorites in this one. The Vegas line is sitting at, Carolina -3 with the total in the game set at 42.5.
Both of these teams live and die by their running attack.
For the Miami Dolphins, without Ronnie Brown the ground game is going to take a serious hit. Brown is done for the year after suffering
The Fins still have talent on offense, however, replacing a back with the power and speed of Brown will not be easy.
The Panthers ground game centers around the speed of DeAngelo Williams and the power of Jonathan Stewart. Last week against the Atlanta Falcons, Williams had 92 yards on 19 carries, while Williams pounded out 82 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.
The x-factor in this one is going to be the play of Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme. After a slow start, Delhomme is playing better as of late. He is protecting the football better and with Steve Smith and Muhsin Muhammad
