Patriots - Colts Odds Sunday night in Lucas Oil Stadium, one of the NFL's most intense rivalries takes center stage as Tom Brady and the New England Patriots take on the Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts.
With both of these teams looking like Super Bowl contenders again, this could be an AFC Championship game preview as the Pats try to snap a Colts regular season, 17-game winning streak that has spanned over two years.
NFL odds makers are calling the Colts slight home favorites in this one. The Vegas line is sitting at, Indianapolis -1.5 with the total in the contest set at 48.
In recent years these teams have dominated the rest of the league. New England and Indianapolis are the only franchises to win more than 70 percent of their games since the start of the 2001 season, and they have combined to win half
Last week against the Texans, Indianapolis ran its record to 8-0 with a 20-17 win over their AFC South foe. The Colts offense may have only scored 20 points, but they cranked out 27 first downs and Manning completed 34-of-50 passes for 318 yards. He had a touchdown and one interception.
The game gave the Colts a 3.5 game lead in the South and it was Manning's seventh 300 plus yard effort of the season.
The Patriots got their sixth win of the season last week against the Miami Dolphins and took a two game lead in the AFC East. The win was the Pats third straight and fifth of their last sixth.
Tom Brady threw for 332 yards, one touchdown and one interception while completing 25-of-37 passes.
I like the Patriots defense to make the difference in this one.
Take the Pats getting the points.
