The New York Jets host the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday in the Meadowlands in a pivotal conference match-up of 4-4 teams sitting on the outside of the AFC playoff picture looking in.

The Jets are coming out of their bye needing a strong second half of the season to contend for a post-season spot. The Jags are just looking to get better and better every week.

NFL odds makers are calling the Jets about a touchdown home favorite in this one. The Vegas line is at, New York -6.5 with the total in the game set at 41.

New York's anointed savior under center, Mark Sanchez, looked solid in the first three games, accumulating 606 passing yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions.

He wasn't nearly as effective in the next five, completing 49.6 percent of his passes for 837 yards with four TDs and eight picks, five coming in an overtime loss to Buffalo on October 18th.

The Jaguars have been up and down all season, they will need to go in a little bit of a run to get back to an elite AFC team.

I see Sanchez and the Jets benefiting from the bye week. Coach Rex Ryan will have a defensive worked out to compensate for the loss of defensive tackle in the middle of their run defense.
