Jacksonville Jaguars The Jacksonville Jaguars have been making headlines for all the wrong reasons. Offensive tackle Richard Collier was shot and critically wounded early Tuesday morning outside of an apartment building.

Collier and former Jags defensive end, Kenneth Pettway were waiting in a Cadillac Escalade when someone opened fire on the vehicle, striking Collier several times. Collier was rushed to surgery at Shands Jacksonville Medical Center and remains in critical condition.

"Right now, he's battling for his life," said Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio on his weekly radio show in Jacksonville. "All we can do right now is pray for healing. We have no control over that situation other than saying prayer."

Ironically, at almost the exact same time, Sunday
morning, outside of a Miami night club the Jaguars all-time leading rusher, Fred Taylor was arrested for disorderly conduct. A Miami Beach Police spokes person said that Taylor repeatedly yelled at officers and after he was advised three times to quiet down, he was arrested and charged with the misdemeanor.

According to the police report, when police arrived on the scene, Taylor and his friends were ordered out of their car, which irritated Taylor and ultimately led to his arrest.

Taylor insisted that he was just issued a citation for the incident and that he was not actually arrested.

"At this point, just want to go left of it and take the high road, whether I'm right or wrong. Right now I am humbled by it. I will continue to move forward and do whatever I've got to do to let this blow over."
