With a Rose Bowl berth on the line, the Ohio State Buckeyes host the Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday afternoon at the Shoe in Columbus. The winner will clinch a Big Ten title and will be heading to Pasadena in January.
This exciting match-up was set last weekend when the Buckeyes beat Penn State 24-7 in Happy Valley on Saturday, the same day Iowa lost quarterback Ricky Stanzi and its first game at home against Northwestern, 17-10.
NCAA odds makers are calling the Buckeyes heavy home favorites in this one. The Vegas line is sitting at, Ohio State -17 with the total in the game set at 38.
Last week against the Nittany Lions, Buckeyes quarterback Terrelle Pryor tiptoed around the Penn State defense, then smiled and danced quite the happy homecoming Saturday for the dual-threat quarterback from western Pennsylvania.
Pryor may have only thrown for 125 yards, but he tossed two touchdown passes and ran for another in his first game back in his home state.
Now all that separates the Buckeyes from at least a share of a fifth consecutive conference championship is an Iowa team that will be forced into starting red-shirt freshman quarterback, James Vandenberg.
Starter Ricky Stanzi went down in the second quarter with a badly sprained ankle. He has undergone surgery and will not play against Ohio State or in the Hawkeyes' regular-season finale against Minnesota.
The Buckeyes will win this game outright, but will not cover.
Take Iowa getting the 17 points.
