Utah Utes Odds Saturday night under the lights of Amon Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, the fourth-ranked TCU Horned Frogs host the No. 16 Utah Utes as Mountain West Conference rivals collide.
At 9-0 overall and 5-0 in the MWC, the Frogs have their sights set on a perfect season and BCS bowl berth, while the 8-1 Utes would like nothing better than to spoil those dreams and steal the top spot in the conference. Utah is also 5-0 in the Mountain West.
NCAA odds makers like the Frogs chances as they are heavily favored at home. The Vegas spread is sitting at, Texas Christian -19.5 with the total in the game set at 46.5.
The Horned Frogs have looked very good while climbing the BCS standings. TCU's No. 4 ranking is the highest ever for a team from a non-BCS conference. They've won seven games
Utah has been looking very good as well.
The Utes have won six straight, holding each opponent under 20 points since their 31-24 loss at Oregon in September. Utah pounded New Mexico 45-14 last Saturday, totaling a season-high 557 yards as Jordan Wynn threw for 297 and two touchdowns in his first start.
The freshman signal caller had to step in for struggling starter Terrance Cain to finish a 22-10 victory over Wyoming the week before.
I like Utah's defense to keep them in this one. They may not be able to pull out a victory against an excellent TCU squad on Saturday, but they are not going to roll over for the Frogs. This one will be closer than 19.5 points.
Take Utah getting the points.
