Texas Longhorns This weekend in Waco, the Baylor Bears host the third-ranked Texas Longhorns in a Big 12 Conference battle. It's true that the Bears have only been able to muster one conference win this season, but Baylor would love to steal on at home against Texas and spoil the Longhorns run at a BCS title.
At 9-0 over all and 5-0 in the Big 12, Texas is coming off a 35-3 win against UCF while Baylor, 4-3 overall and 1-4 in the conference beat Missouri to get their first Big 12 win last week.
NCAA odds makers love the Longhorns in this match-up as the Longhorns are heavy road favorites. The Vegas spread is sitting at, Texas -24 with the total in the contest set at 52.5.
The Longhorns are& returning to conference play after the win over Central Florida last Saturday. However, their victory enough to help Texas
Quarterback Colt McCoy has been down this road before as he looks to tie former Georgia quarterback David Greene's NCAA record of 42 career victories.
"I've played against Baylor for three years going on my fourth year," said McCoy. "It is tough to play up there. Sometimes the stadium is windy, and I think we really have to focus on ourselves this week, and focus on going back to work."
I don't think the Longhorns will have too much trouble staying focused, head coach Mack Brown has his team ready and they know what is at stake.
"We want to win the Big 12 South and the Big 12," Brown said. "Our dream would be to win a national championship. We've got to keep our eyes and our minds on our goals."
Texas win this game going away. Take the Longhorns and give the points.
