NFL Preview: Odds To Win The NFC North

Aaron Rodgers We will start with the Green Bay Packers. Let's face it, Aaron Rodgers may be the story of the entire division and if Brett Favre was out fishing instead of playing for the Jets, he be the league's biggest story. But Aaron is still playing second fiddle to Brett. Aaron is about to embark on the what might be the most heavily scrutinized season in the history of the NFL. When Dan Marino or John Elway left, no one was comparing Jay Fiedler and Brian Griese's stats with theirs on the week to to week basis. It's going to be a struggle for Rodgers all year long and so goes Aaron Rodger, so go the Packers. It's going to be a long inconsistent season for the Pack.
The Detroit Lions will be intriguing to watch. If Jon Kitna stays healthy these guys might surprise some people. Also, with the signing of Rudi Johnson and newly drafted Rookie Kevin Smith they might actually have a running game. They are definitely talented at receiver. There offense will have to help out the defensive
In Chicago, the best thing they have going for them is that Rex Grossman is no longer the starting QB. The biggest problem is that Kyle Orton is his replacement. Orton has the worst passer rating of any QB with at least 400 attempts. The defensive is still good, but not good enough to keep them out of the cellar.
The Minnesota Vikings are solid on both sides of the ball. There defense will win them some games and if QB Tarvaris Jackson can manage the offense enough to put the ball in the hands Adrian Peterson, they should win the division. Odds makers are calling the Vikings about a 2/1 favorite, paying out $160 for every $100 bet.
The NFC North is one of the league's most interesting divisions. Chances are, only the winner will be a playoff team.
Here is how they will finish:
1. Minnesota Vikings 10-6
2. Detroit Lions 8-8
3. Green Bay Packers 7-9
4. Chicago Bears 5-11

"1. Minnesota Vikings 10-6
2. Detroit Lions 8-8 3. Green Bay Packers 7-9 4. Chicago Bears 5-11" Hmmm. Let me see. What's the politically correct way to say "retarded?" - Homeless in Hawaii |
