Thursday night in Huskie Stadium, Mid-American Conference play continues when the Ball State Cardinals come to Dekalb, IL to take on Northern Illinois.

The Huskies are looking to stay hot this week against the Cardinals. Northern Illinois has won three straight including last weeks 50-6 win over Eastern Michigan.

NCAA odds makers like their changes as the Huskies are heavy home favorites. Vegas prognosticators list the spread at more than two touchdowns as the line is sitting at, Northern Illinois -17.5 with the total set at 46.

Huskies quarterback DeMarcus Grady won three in a row since taking over for injured starter Chandler Harnish. Grady ran for over 100 yards for the second straight week and finished with 104 yards on 10 carries while passing for another 119 yards and two touchdowns.

Running back Chad Spann was explosive running the ball. He carried just 11 times for 174 yards That gave Spann his third straight 100-yard game.

Ball State is coming off a bye week that they almost certainly used to regroup from a tough loss to Ohio 20-17 in Week 9. The 1-8 Cardinals only win came in a narrow 29-27 victory against a winless Eastern Michigan team.

They have had troubles throwing the ball down the field this season. Their strength on offense thus far has been running back MiQuale Lewis and his 3,187 yards on the ground.

Take the Huskies in this one. They should win and cover the 17.5 points.
