Houston Texans This weekend in Lucas Oil Stadium, Peyton Manning and the Colts play host to one of the league's hottest teams as Matt Schaub and his Houston Texans look to make it five straight wins when they head to Indianapolis.
However, the Colts have a little win streak of their own to protect. How about 16 straight regular season games spanning over two years? Not too shabby.
NFL odds makers are calling Indianapolis more than a touchdown home favorite in this AFC South match-up. The spread is looking like Vegas does not have too much confidence in the Texans. The line is sitting at, the Colts -8.5 with the total in the game set at 49.5.
The Colts will try to keep their offense in gear and continue their dominance over Houston on Sunday. Indy has beaten the Texans in 13 of their last 14 match-ups dating back to 2001. The last time Houston beat Indianapolis
It seems like year after year, the Texans are one of those talented teams looking for a break-out season. At 5-3, this is going to be a statement game for Houston. A victory over the Colts might just validate a team that has finished 8-8 in each of the past two seasons.
Quarterback Matt Schaub has thrown for more than 2,300 yards and 16 touchdowns over the teams first eight games. But lately the Texans are finding all kinds of ways to win.
Last week against the Bills, running back Steve Slaton was benched after a fumble and back-up Ryan Moats did a stellar job as his replacement, running for a career-high 126 yards and scoring a franchise-best three touchdowns.
Both of these offenses are running on all cylinders coming into this one. I don't see much changing this week. Look for a lot of points to light up the scoreboard.
Take the over 49.5 point in the Colts-Texans game.
