One of the league's biggest surprises this season in the NFL has been the emergence of a very good 5-2 Cincinnati Bengals team.

Sunday in Paul Brown Stadium, division rival Baltimore comes into town with a record of 4-3 and the Ravens look to pull even with the surging Bengals in the conference's toughest division, the AFC North.

NFL odds makers like the Ravens in this one against a Bengals team that is coming off their bye week. The Vegas line is sitting at, Baltimore -3 with the total in the game set at 44.5.

After a 45-10 trouncing of the Chicago Bears before the bye, the Bengals are tied with Pittsburgh atop the North, and they can improve to a 4-0 division record with a win on Sunday.

Last week, the Ravens knocked off then 6-0 Denver 30-7. Baltimore started 3-0, but had lost three straight before beating
up on the Broncos. Quarterback Joe Flacco was 20 of 25 for 175 yards and a touchdown while running back Ray Rice pounded out 84 yards on the ground and a score against the stingy Broncos defense.

Flacco and Rice played well, but the big story for the Ravens last week was the play of their defense. Ray Lewis, Ed Reed and the boys allowed just 66 yards rushing and 134 through the air against Denver.

The will need a similar performance this week as Carson Palmer and Cedric Benson have lead the way for the Bengals. When these two teams met back on October 11th, Palmer threw for 271 yards and one score while Benson ran all over Baltimore for 120 yards and a touchdown of his own.

Benson became the first player in 40 games to eclipse 100 yards against the Ravens.

As the Raven gear up to stop Benson, look for Palmer to have a big day. Take the Bengals getting the points.
