The University of Southern California is playing in uncharted territory. The Trojans haven't been out of national championship contention this early in the season in a long time. However, after their most lopsided loss in 12 years last week against the Oregon Ducks, all USC can do now is concentrate on the slim chance they still have to win the Pac 10.

This weekend in Tempe, the Sun Devils host the Trojans as Arizona State looks to gain a little Pac 10 Conference recognition for themselves and snap a 10-game lossing streak against USC.

NCAA odds makers like the Trojans' chances to bounce back against Arizona State on the road. The Vegas line is sitting at, USC -11.5 with the total in the game set at 45.

Southern Cal has two losses going into November just twice in the past seven years, but after
being upset at Washington on September 19th, they knew their margin for error would be slight if it wanted to compete for the national title.

Last week's performance put an end to those hopes. The Trojans were pounded 47-20 by then-No. 10 Oregon, as the Ducks rolled up 391 yards on the ground in dealing USC their worst loss since a 35-7 defeat at Arizona State since 1997.

The Sun Devils will be trying to channel some of that '90's magic.

Sun Devils quarterback Danny Sullivan will have to have a huge game if Arizona State is going to hang with the Trojans. Sullivan has thrown for over 1,600 yard and eight touchdowns thus far in 2009, but his seven interceptions has the UCS secondary licking their chops.

Look for the Trojans to be able to handle the Dun Devils, they will be focused and should win in a walk.

Take USC and give the 11.5 points.
