College Football Picks Saturday night under the lights in Lincoln, Memorial Stadium will be on fire as the Nebraska Cornhuskers play host to the Oklahoma Sooners in an old-school battle of Big 12 rivals.
The Sooners are 5-3 overall and 3-1 in the Big 12, while the Cornhuskers are also 5-3 and will be looking to pull even in the conference as they sit at 2-2 in the Big 12.
NCAA odds makers are calling Oklahoma a road favorite in this one as the Vegas line is sitting at, the Sooners -4.5 with the total in the game is at 41.5.
The battle of the Big Reds has been a bit unbalanced lately with Huskers going through a rebuilding period. But Nebraska has played very good at times this season as they try to re-emerge as a power in college
Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops does he best to make sure his players know the context of games like this.
"I always have had, playing Nebraska here for a long time, great respect for them. An amazing tradition and history," Stoops said. "I always want our freshmen, sophomores, guys that haven't been around that long to have a true understanding of the whole tradition, history and pride of that program."
Oklahoma's defense will be the difference in this match-up. The Cornhuskers are getting better, but the Sooners still have too much talent.
Take the Sooners and give the 4.5 points on the road.
