Saturday night in the Swamp, Ben Hill Griffin Stadium will be rocking as the No. 1 ranked Florida Gators take on the SEC Conference rival Vanderbilt Commodores.

At 8-0, Florida looks to remain perfect against a Vandy team that has struggled to a 2-7 record and stands without a win in the SEC. The Gators will try to make it their 19th straight win over the Commodores in a game that could prove to be an ugly one for Vanderbilt in Gainesville.

NCAA odds makers see Florida as a heavy favorite at home against Vandy. The Vegas line is sitting at, Florida -35 with the total in the contest set at 48.

The Gators cruised to and easy 41-17 victory over the Georgia Bulldogs last Saturday in Jacksonville. Florida extended the nation's longest winning streak with their 18th straight victory and remained No. 1 in the BCS standings, staying in the hunt for a shot at the national title.

While Gators head coach Urban Meyer has been happy with his team's record, he wasn't pleased with some of their behavior last weekend against the Bulldogs.

With the game getting out-of hand, there was pushing, shoving and trash-talking, and linebacker Brandon Spikes attempted to gouge the eyes of Georgia running back Washaun Ealey. Meyer responded by suspending Spikes for the first half of the Vanderbilt game.

"I don't condone that," Meyer said. "I understand what goes on on the football field, but there's no place for that. That's not who he is. That's not who we are."

Meyer words were nice, but the suspension is a joke. What Spikes did was one of the ugliest things I have ever seen on a football. I think the idea that Spikes being allowed to return to the field at all, at least this season, is disgusting.

Spikes later said he would sit out the entire game to avoid the situation becoming a distraction to his team. Even without Spikes in this one, the Gators should not have any trouble with Vanderbilt.

Take the Gators at home and give the points.
