Saturday in Tuscaloosa, 7-0 Alabama hosts the 3-3 Tennessee Volunteers in an SEC Conference match-up as the Crimson Tide play their first game of the season as the No. 1 team in the nation. After beating No. 22 South Carolina 20-6 last Saturday, Alabama jumped Florida to claim the top spot in the AP poll for the first time since last November.

The Tide may be the AP's No. 1, but they still sit behind the Gators in the BCS standings and they won't face Florida unless they meet in the SEC championship game Dec. 5 in Atlanta.

NCAA odds makers like the Tide's chances to remain unbeaten as they have listed Alabama as more than two touchdown favorites in this one. The Vegas line is at the Crimson Tide -14.5 with the total in the game sitting at 43.

While leading Alabama back to the top, running back Mark Ingram vaulted pushed himself into the Heisman Trophy picture. Ingram piled up 246 yards in the win over the Gamecocks to register the third-best rushing performance in school history and set a career high for the second time in as many weeks.

"Mark did as fine a job today as anybody I've ever been around, and that includes Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown and some really good ones," said head coach Nick Saban after the South Carolina game. "He was fantastic."

The weekend against the Vols, the Crimson Tide are seeking their first three-game win streak over Tennessee since winning seven in a row from 1986-92.

Look for the Crimson Tide to win this game and cover the points.

Take Alabama and give the 14.5.
