Colorado vs Colorado State Colorado and Colorado State open their 2008 campaign in Invesco Field in Denver Sunday night at 7:45PM ET on FSN. The Buffaloes have won five of the last six meeting and are 12 point favorites going into tonight's game. The over on the game is at 56.
Rams Senior QB Billy Farris will be making his first start since high school. Farris will be looking for senior tight end Kory Sperry to spark the offense. Sperry caught three touchdown passes last year against the Buffaloes before suffering a season-ending knee injury. Even though they will be replacing Mountain West Conference's leading passer Caleb Hanie, State has one of the deepest backfields in the nation with senior running-backs Kyle Bell and Gartrell Johnson.
Colorado returns starting QB Cory Hawkins in 2008. Hawkins threw for over 3,000 yards and
"I talk faster than most people, I walk faster than most people," Cody said. "I eat faster than most people. I listen to music louder than most people."
Offensive coordinator, Mark Helfrich said Cody Hawkins has gained the confedence of his teams and is poised to lead.
Eventhough Colorado is the better team on paper, the last six meetings of these two teams have been decided by less than a touchdown. Take the Rams getting the 12 points, this should be a close one.
