Denver Broncos Tonight in San Diego, the 2-2 Chargers look to close the gap between themselves and the 5-0 Broncos when they host Denver in Qualcomm Stadium on Monday Night Football.
After a late season collapse in 2008, an off-season filled with coaching changes and turmoil with personnel, only the most optimistic Broncos fans would have predicted the fast start that Denver is off to.
NFL odds makers may not be buying into the Broncos success. The Vegas line is sitting at, Chargers -3.5 with the total in the game set at 44.
Coming off a huge overtime win against the New England Patriots in week 5, the surging Broncos can really create some separation in the AFC West if they can come out out San Diego win a win on Monday night.
Last Sunday's victory was especially sweet for Broncos' rookie head
"This doesn't mean a whole lot unless you can share it with somebody," McDaniels said. "Sometimes, you're allowed to have fun. That's what I was doing."
One of the most pleasant surprises for Denver has been the play of the quarterback.
Kyle Orton is doing an exceptional job of stepping in for the departed Jay Cutler. Orton has thrown for over 1,200 yards with seven touchdowns and just one interception. While Orton has lead the offense, the defense has come up big as well.
The Broncos defense has allowed just an NFL leading 43 points threw their first five games.
