Saturday evening in Atlanta, the 19th ranked Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets host the 4th ranked Virginia Tech Hokies in Bobby Dodd Stadium in a huge ACC match-up.
Both the 5-1 Hokies and the 5-1 Yellow Jackets will be trying to get an leg up in the conference as Virginia Tech has a slim lead in the Coastal Division.
Even on the road, NCAA odds makers like the Hokies chances as the Vegas line is sitting at, Virginia Tech -3.5 with the total in the game set at 54.
With both the Hokies and the Yellow Jackets having two of the most prolific offenses in the ACC, this one just might come down to which defense plays better.
They have each put up big offensive numbers thus far this year. With Virginia Tech scoring an ACC best 34.2 points per game and Georgia Tech averaging a conference-leading 426.7 total yards of offense, whichever defense can step up and make a big stop at the right moment will be key.
Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson has been impressed with the Hokies defense as of late.
"You watch Virginia Tech play defense, those jokers are playing fast, now, and they're playing physical," he said.
Look for the Virginia Tech defense to be the one to come up big.
Take the Hokies and give the 3.5 points on the road.
