Peyton Manning's Sore Left Knee Looks Good In Practice

Peyton Manning Three-time league MVP, Peyton Manning, has given himself a clean bill of health. According to Manning, he needed medical treatment on his left knee on Sunday night after the Colts' win over the Tennessee Titans. But, after Wednesday's practice, he says that the knee is fine.
"No concerns," Manning said. "It feels fine. It's a non-issue."
Manning said he hurt the knee late in the first half of Sunday's victory over the Titans, on a play in which Tennessee defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch was flagged for roughing the passer. Manning did not leave the game, topped 300 yards threw the air for the fifth straight time and showed no indication he had been hurt.
On the other side of the ball, the 5-0 Colts may be about to get more good news on the injury front concerning, 2007 NFL defensive player of the year, Bob Sanders. The leader of the Colts secondary had offseason surgery on his
"He is hungry, there's no question about that. I think he's been preparing diligently," said head coach Jim Caldwell. "He looks like Bob, so we're all anxious. When he gets comfortable with what he's doing, we'll get him in there."
The Colts got more positive news in the defensive backfield as cornerback Kelvin Hayden also practiced after missing the last three games with a left hamstring injury. Hayden is expected to be back in the lineup by October 25 for Indy's game against the Rams.
Back on offense, wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez has started running again. Gonzalez sprained ligaments in his right knee in the Colts' season-opener. Although his rehab seems to be moving in the right direction, it is not clear when Gonzalez will be back on the field at full steam.
"I'm not real sure. I know he feels good," Caldwell said about Gonzalez's progress. "I know he's out there running."
