Saturday night in Tallahassee, the Florida State Seminoles host the 22nd ranked Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets as Bobby Bowden's bunch tries to avoid a third straight loss.
With the head of Florida State's trustees calling for his job, it will be interesting to see what kind of reception the legendary coach gets when he runs out onto the field Saturday night at Doak Campbell Stadium.
NCAA odds makers have the Seminoles as home favorites as the Vegas line is sitting at, FSU -3 with the total in the contest at 55.
At 2-3 and 0-2 in the ACC, the Noles are off to their worst start since Bowden's first year in 1976, when they lost their first three games and finished 5-6 for their last losing season.
It is going to be touch for the Seminoles to right the ship against a very good 4-1 Yellow Jackets team that is expecting a big response from Florida State, which is 6-0 at home and 12-1 all-time against the Yellow Jackets under Bowden.
This game is probably going to come down to who can run the ball successfully. Georgia Tech running back Jonathan Dwyer is off to a strong start this season with 409 yards on the ground has him third in the conference in rushing.
The status of the Seminoles' running game is up in the air after Jermaine Thomas took over for Ty Jones last weekend and finished with 21 yards on 10 carries. Thomas' best effort came as a freshman in last year's game against the Yellow Jackets. He had 130 yards on nine carries.
Look for Georgia Tech to be able to control the clock and move the ball against a Noles defense that ranks 98th in yards allowed with 405.6 per game.
Take the Yellow Jackets getting the 3 points as the Seminoles continue to slide.
