Alabama Crimson Tide The SEC has another solid match-up this Saturday when head coach Nick Saban and his 3rd ranked Alabama Crimson Tide head to Oxford to take on the No. 20 Ole Miss Running Rebels.
This game was circled on both teams' calendars after each was ranked in the top 10 before the season, but the Rebels have a slip-up when they lost to South Carolina and fell in the rankings.
Now with Alabama at 5-0 and Ole Miss sitting at 3-1, NCAA odds makers are calling the Crimson Tide road favorites heading into this one. The Vegas line is set at, Alabama -4.5, but it has fallen since opening at -6.5. The total in the game is at 45.
Rebels quarterback Jeven Snead was 7 of 21 for just 107 yards in a 16-10 loss at South Carolina on September 24, and while
Snead is going to have his hands full with the Alabama defense.
The Crimson Tide have been tough. Alabama's 38-20 win against the Kentucky Wildcats last Saturday was perhaps the team's least impressive win even though they had a 25-point lead through most of the game on the road.
Rolando McClain may have been the national defensive player of the week after he had 12 tackles, an interception and a forced fumble, but the unit as a whole allowed 133 rushing yards.
Expect coach Saban to have fixed whatever the problem was last week against the run. Alabama will win this one.
Take the Crimson Tide and give the 4.5 points.
