Saturday in Blacksburg, the 5th ranked Virginia Tech Hokies host the Boston College Eagles in an ACC Conference match-up that always proves to be an exciting one.

The Hokies try to stay undefeated in conference play with their fifth straight win overall Saturday when they host the Eagles, going for their third consecutive ACC victory.

NCAA odds makers are calling Virginia Tech heavy favorites at home as the Vegas line is sitting at, the Hokies -14 with the total in the contest set at 45.

The last time these two met at Lane Stadium was in October of 2007 and Boston College, then ranked No. 2 in the nation, knocked off No. 8 Virginia Tech. The Hokies responded by winning four straight before defeating the Eagles 30-16 in the conference championship game.

Virginia Tech did it again last year, taking a 30-12 win over Boston College in the ACC title game after suffering its first loss of the season 28-23 in Boston.

Hokies coach Frank Beamer hopes for more of the same against a Boston College team looking to break into the Top 25 for the first time in 2009. The Eagles lost their conference opener at Clemson 25-7, but Boston College has pulled out narrow wins at home in their last two ACC games against Wake Forest and Florida State.

When these two teams get together, the games are usually unpredictable and a lot of fun to watch. I like BC to keep this one close.

Take Boston College getting the 14 points.
