Arizona vs Denver
Arizona vs Denver
The Quarterback controversy is as prevalent as ever in the desert. The Arizona Cardinals will be hosting the Denver Broncos with Kurt Warner as their starter. This otherwise meaningless game has become much more interesting as Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt will obviously be weighing this game heavily when he makes his decision on his regular season starter.

Arizona is a 3 point favorite at home against the Denver Broncos. Odds makers are putting the over at 37 points and the money line at; Broncos +130, Cardinals -150 for the preseason finale.

Matt Leinart was expected to be Arizona's Quarterback when he was taken 10th overall in the 2006 draft. However, with Leinart's poor play, and Kurt Warner consistency at the position, it seems
like Warner is the likely candidate for the starting job. Leinart through 3 interceptions in his last outing against Oakland, while Warner has gone 8-of-13 for 94 yard and no touchdowns, but more importantly no interceptions.

Their is no suspense coming from Broncos camp as their starting QB Jay Cutler has looked strong going 30-of-43 with 352 yard and 3 touchdowns, no interceptions. They look to get to .500 in the preseason and gain some momentum as they head into the regular season. The Broncos open in Oakland on Monday, September 8th. Denver has won 8 of their last 9 preseason finales including 3 against the Cardinals.

Both the Broncos and the Cardinals will have about 15 hours to trim their rosters form 75 to 53 after the completion of Friday nights game. No sleep for coaches until Sunday.
