Dallas Cowboys It may only be Week 3, but both the Dallas Cowboys and the Carolina Panthers feel like tonight's game is a must-win as they both look to turn their their seasons around by string together a few wins.
The story of these two teams has been all about the quarterbacks. At 1-1, Dallas defeated Tampa Bay 34-21 in its opener behind a great performance by Tony Romo while the Panther are 0-2 after some truly awful play from Jake Delhomme.
Vegas is calling the Cowboys heavy favorites at home. NFL odds makers have Dallas at -9 with the total in the Monday Night game sitting at 48.
Carolina won the NFC South last season with a 12-4 record but is in danger of opening with three consecutive losses for the first time since dropping a franchise-worst
After throwing four interceptions in the opener against the Eagles, Delhomme played much better against the Falcons. He threw for 308 yards and a touchdown, but his interception with 2 1/2 minutes remaining near the Atlanta end zone with his team down eight ended his team's hopes for a comeback.
This game may be the perfect match-up for Carolina to get back on track as the Dallas defense has yet to record a sack or generate any turnovers through two games.
However, Carolina's defense hasn't been much better. The Panthers have just two sacks and are 30th in the league in scoring defense, allowing an average of 33 points per game.
This game should be closer than many prognosticators think. Take the Panthers getting the 9 points.
