Sunday afternoon at Soldier Field in Chicago, the Bears will try and bounce back from a tough opening game loss to the Packers as they host the defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers.
Not only did Chicago lose their opener last week, they suffered a major injury as linebacker and team-leader Brian Urlacher dislocated his wrist and will be lost for the season.
The Bears are about a field goal underdog at home as NFL odds makers have the Steelers at -3 with the total in the contest sitting at 38.
Urlacher may have only missed seven games in his career, but Chicago hasn't won with out him. They are 0-7 without their emotional leader. Now, Jay Cutler and the offense will try to do just that, win.
Pittsburgh didn't appear to miss a step last week as the Steelers looked a lot like the team that won the Super Bowl when they beat the Titans 13-10 in overtime. They had last minute heroics before the half and the end of regulation, but they had no semblance of a ground game. Pittsburgh relied, as it usually does, on quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
Big Ben completed 33-of-43 passes for 363 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions. But, per usual, it was his ability to move around in the pocket and make plays with time running out that helped the Steelers get the win.
Pittsburgh's defense did not have its most dominating performance, but it limited the Titans to just one touchdown. They should have a filed-day against a Bears offense that is still trying to find their identity.
Take the Steelers and give the points.
