The game of the day on college football's week two schedule features the 3rd-ranked USC Trojans and the 8th-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes. These two big-time programs will face-off in front of what is expected to be more than 100,000 screaming Buckeyes fans in "The Shoe" in Columbus.

Last season's match-up between these two was a one-side beat down by USC, however the big difference will be that a year ago the game was played in Southern California.

Even with this game being played at Ohio State, NCAA odds makers still have the Trojans as the favorites. USC is at -7 with the total in the contest sitting at 45.5.

The USC Trojans and coach Pete Carroll have beaten the Buckeyes six times in a row, including three times Rose Bowl games. This season might be the toughest so far for the boy's from Southern Cal as they start a true freshman
under center. 19-year-old Matt Barkley is just a few short months removed from his senior prom and now he is making his first start on the road for the Trojans.

The environment does not any more hostile than heading to Ohio Stadium.

"The difference in this game is really the noise," Carroll said. "We have to keep it in the right perspective and make sure we take our ability to play well into the setting."

All returning Buckeyes will not soon forget the 35-3 whipping that they took last season at the hands of the Trojans. Quarterback Terrelle Pryor saw limited action a year ago as a freshman backing up Todd Boeckman against USC. Their hopes hinge on their young signal caller playing well.

I think he will. This game will not be like last season. Look for Ohio State to play at a furious pace. This one may come down to a field goal as it will be close.

Take Ohio State getting 7 at home.
