Penn State Nittany Lions
The 7th-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions will be going for their 10th straight home victory when they face-off against the Syracuse Orange on Saturday. The Lions are coming off a 31-7 over Akron while the Orange lost in overtime 23-20 to Minnesota.

Today's game against Syracuse will mark the 70th meeting between the Nittany Lions and the Orange. Penn State earned its second BCS bowl berth in four years last season and the Nittany Lions look to keep rolling as they try to follow up an easy opening win.

NCAA odds makers like their chances as they have Penn State at -28 with the total in the game sitting at 51.

Even though Penn State came out of last week with a lopsided win against Akron, coach Joe Paterno was not pleased
with his team's play after halftime. Penn State was outscored 7-0 after the break.

"We had a terrible second half," Paterno said. "We got soft. We thought the game was over. We weren't very sharp. There are a lot of young kids and they thought the thing was over at halftime. We just did not have any consistency in the second half. I was disappointed with the second half, but we still won the football game."

Don't expect the Nittany Lions to be able to get away that kind of effort against Syracuse, especially if they are going to cover the 28 point spread in this one.

Penn State has won their last nine games at home by an average of 29 points per game. Look for the Lions to play hard for four quarters this week.

Take the Nittany Lions and give the 28 points at home.
