NFL MVP Tom Brady said in an radio interview on Monday that he will be ready for the season opener against the Chiefs. Brady has missed all three preseason games so far with an injured right foot. True to form, New England and coach Bill Belichick has not disclosed any details about the injury, but he did participate in the 15 minutes of practice that was open to the media on Monday.

Brady sounded optimistic and confident in his regular weekly appearance on WEEI radio in Boston.

"I'm feeling very good. I was wishing I could play last week and it didn't happen." When asked about Thursday's final
preseason game against the New York Giants, Brady said, "I'm hoping I'm always out there, if I don't play, I'll be ready for Kansas City." Brady will be looking forward to not having to answer questions about when he will be playing.

Without their Pro Bowl QB the Patriots are 0-3 thus far in the exhibition season. Forth year back-up Matt Cassel has started all three games but has not impressed coaches with has inconsistent play. Second year QB Matt Gutierrez has out played Cassel by going 14-of-20 with 217 yard and two touchdowns in week 3 of preseason.

Patriot fans will not have to worry about Brady, he'll be under center come opening day.
