Baltimore Ravens
New York Jets rookie head coach Rex Ryan returns to Baltimore tonight where he has great success as defensive coordinator with the Ravens.

Rookie quarterback, Mark Sanchez has been slated as tonight's Jets starter. A week ago against St. Louis, in his first NFL action, Sanchez played only one series, but he completing 3 of his 4 passes for 88 yards. Thomas Jones finishing it off the drive by getting into the end-zone.

NFL odds makers are calling the Ravens about a 3 point favorite. With the total in the game sitting at 32.5.

In addition to Ryan, also returning as Jets are LB Bart Scott and S Jim Leonard, two starters from the Ravens team that went to the AFC Championship Game a season ago.

For Baltimore, they will look to get to Sanchez early and perhaps rattle his confidence.
It's going to be interesting to see how the rookie out of USC performs against a Ravens secondary that will make him pay for any and quite possible all his mistakes. Sanchez will have to contend safety Ed Reed who has made a living off reading the quarterback's eyes and looking for picks.

Defensively, it is no surprise that both the Ravens and the Jets run nearly identical defenses.

Baltimore plans to play their starters into the second quarter and possibly as much as a half. However veterans such as Ray Lewis, Trevor Pryce, and Ed Reed will be on snap counts. The Ravens will be without Pro Bowl LB Terrell Suggs is out.

Although the Ravens and the Jets are expect to have two of the top defenses in the league, I like the over points in this one.

Take the over 32.5 points and look for some late scores as starter watch from the side-line.
