Denver Broncos
Beginning with the firing of Mike Shanahan to the trading of Pro Bowl quarterback Jay Cutler, the Denver Broncos have had a turbulent offseason to say the least.

When the Broncos take the field in 2009, they are going to have a very different look from the team that was devastated last season after a late season collapse forced them out of the AFC playoff picture despite having it all but locked up with three games to play.

After an 8-8 finish, odds makers have made the Broncos 45/1 long shots to win Super Bowl XLIV. They also gave Denver 25/1 odds to win the AFC and 10/1 odds to win the AFC West Division.

With the exit of coach Shanahan and the entrance of Josh McDaniels, the Broncos still have a lot of good parts on offense aside from a quarterback and we will see how much of an offensive guru the former Patriots offensive coordinator really
is. Kyle Orton and Chris Simms will compete for the starting job (Orton is the front-runner) but if neither has proven anything in this league.

The Broncos will most likely have some growing pains this season, however they do have a strong offensive line and a bevy of backs including Correll Buckhalter, Lamont Jordan, J.J. Arrington, Selvin Young and with the 12th overall pick in April's draft, they took former Georgia running back Knowshon Moreno.

On defense the Broncos are a mess. In 2008, they couldn't stop anyone. Now, they are switching to a 3-4 scheme and historically, when teams make these kinds of changes, things get worse before they get better.

As far as me putting my money on the Broncos, well, there are just too many question marks. Can Orton lead the offense to success? Will the defense begin to gel sooner rather than later?

There is too much uncertainty in Denver. Stay away from the Broncos.
