The investigation in the shooting death of former NFL quarterback Steve McNair continued yesterday in Nashville.

Police say that the former Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens Pro-Bowler was found shot four times, twice in the head and twice in the chest. With the autopsy now competed, investigators are officially calling McNair's death a homicide.

However, authorities declined to classify the death of Sahel Kazemi, the 20-year-old woman whose body was found with McNair's at a Nashville condominium.

According to police, Kazemi had one gunshot wound to the head, and a semiautomatic pistol was found beneath her body. Police are hesitant to call the incident a murder-suicide, but not ruling
out any scenario at this point.

"Based on the evidence at the scene and based on what we know from witnesses thus far, you can lean certain ways in an investigation," said police spokesman Don Aaron. "All scenarios are open."

When Aaron was specifically asked about a murder-suicide scenario by reporters at a press-conference he said that nothing is being ruled out.

"The scenario that you just mentioned is open. But so are others."

Police are saying that McNair's body was found in a sitting position on a couch in the living room of the condo by Wayne Neeley and Robert Gaddy, both friends of McNair. Kazemi's body was found nearby on the floor.

Police determined that the shootings happened hours before being discovered.
