According to reports coming out of Green Bay, the Packers have accomplished one of their most important goals on this off-season. Although the terms have not been disclosed, Green Bay and wide receiver Greg Jennings have agreed to a contract extension.

Since being taken in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft, Jennings has become one of the league's most dangerous receivers.

In 2009, Jennings was originally due to make $535,000 for the final year of his rookie contract. Experts have speculated that the 25-year old out of Western Michigan could make $27 million with his new deal, but if he performs at a Pro Bowl level, this new contract could be worth as much as $30 million.

In the 2008
season, Jennings played and started in all 16 regular season games. He caught 80 passes for just short of 1,300 yards and 9 touchdowns.

One of Jennings' best performances came in week four. Although the Pack lost 30-21 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jennings hauled in six catches for over 100 yard, two of those were for scores.

At Western Michigan University, Jennings finished his career there with 238 receptions for 3539 yards and 39 touchdowns.

His 5,093 all-purpose yards is a WMU record, and ranks 8th in MAC history. Greg became only the 11th player to gain over 1,000 yards three times in college career.

With quarterback Aaron Rodgers throwing him the ball, Jennings has all makings of becoming one of the NFL's premier wide-outs.
