NFL Football The NFL has released the 2009 Schedule and the is no shortage of excitement expected for the upcoming year.
The Dallas Cowboys will open their new $1.1 billion stadium with a nationally televised Sunday night game against the New York Giants in a huge NFC East battle on September 20th.
The defending Super Bowl Champion, Pittsburgh Steelers, open the season in primetime when they host the Tennessee Titans with a Thursday night game on September 10th. The reigning champs won't admit it, but they will be certainly looking ahead to two late season match-ups with AFC North rival Baltimore. The Steelers and the Ravens face-off twice in five weeks toward the end of the regular season.
The NFC champion Arizona Cardinals
Another match-up to key your eye on will be on October 11th when the New England Patriots take on Denver Broncos and former offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, now with the Broncos.
The first Monday night game features those same Patriots as Tom Brady makes his return to action against the Buffalo Bills and Terrell Owens. New England also plays Tampa Bay in London on October 25th.
Denver fans won't have to wait long to see the return of former Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler to Mile-High Stadium. Cutler and his new team, the Chicago Bears, head to Denver in the pre-season on August 30th.
